No one can seem to beat our Top Dogs...way to go Brock and Jordan!

Dear Mr. Henshaw and Bud, Not Buddy

We started Dear Mr. Henshaw back in December, but had to put it on hold to prepare for the Writing TAKS. We will be finishing the novel by the end of next week.

We will then start Bud, Not Buddy. We are very excitied to be starting a new book!

Vocabulary words will start coming home again on March 8th.

Writing TAKS

Ok, so I know that it has been a while since I posted...it is because we have been working and working and working on writing.

The writing TAKS test is Wednesday, March 3rd.

The kids are ready...I am SO proud of all of their hard work!

Second Semester Information

REMINDERS

• Homework folders come home every night- please look over them and sign or initial every night.
• Spelling words come home on Monday and tested on Friday.
• Math homework is every night.

What's New?

• Reading vocabulary is being replaced with a reading and editing passage.
• Each student needs to independently complete both passages at home using their strategies.
• Both passages are due back on Friday for a grade.

Benchmark Testing

• Writing: February 10th
• Math: March 10th
• Reading: March 11th
